Service and Repair
At the LifeCard Gun Official Store, we build our products to endure heavy use in the most demanding environments. However, regular maintenance and professional servicing are essential to ensure your gear remains in peak operating condition.
1. Routine Maintenance & Cleaning
LifeCard 22 (LR & WMR)
The LifeCard is designed for durability, featuring corrosion-resistant finishes. To maintain performance:
Barrel Care: Clean the tilt-barrel and rifling after every 100 rounds to prevent fouling, especially if using a suppressor on threaded models.
Lubrication: Apply a small drop of high-quality gun oil to the handle release latch and the barrel pivot point every six months.
Storage Handle: Periodically clear the handle storage area of lint or debris to ensure your three spare rounds remain clean and easy to access.
FRT-15 & FRT-15L3 Triggers
Because these are precision-engineered components, they require specific care:
Cleaning: Use a pressurized air duster or non-corrosive solvent to remove carbon buildup from the trigger housing after range sessions.
Check Pins: Regularly inspect the anti-walk pins to ensure they remain secure and prevent unwanted movement during extended use.
Tuning: While the FRT-15 is “plug-and-play” with a heavy buffer (H2 or H3), some setups may require minor tuning for optimal cycling speed.
If your equipment requires more than routine cleaning, our Asheville-based technicians provide expert repair services.
Trigger Service: If your FRT-15L3 is not resetting correctly, do not attempt to disassemble the internal spring mechanism. Ship the unit to our service center for professional recalibration.
Firearm Repairs: For mechanical issues with the LifeCard or Pivot Rifle, please contact us to initiate a warranty or service claim.
Note: By law, all firearms sent for repair must be shipped according to federal regulations. We will provide a pre-paid shipping label and instructions for secure transport.
Suppressed Hosts: If you are experiencing baffle strikes or alignment issues with a threaded LifeCard, our team can verify the concentricity of your 1/2″ x 28 threads.
3. Installation Services
We strongly recommend professional gunsmith installation for all forced-reset trigger systems to ensure mechanical and legal compliance. If you are local to North Carolina, you can schedule an installation at our Asheville facility.
4. Service Fees & Warranty
Warranty Repairs: Defects in materials or workmanship are covered under our limited lifetime warranty. There is no charge for parts or labor on qualified warranty claims.
Standard Service: For non-warranty maintenance (e.g., deep cleaning or part replacements due to normal wear), we charge a flat labor rate of $65/hour plus parts.
